I painted and modified this seven dollar toaster from walmart to enter in an art fundraiser. The contest was to see what you could do with a 12 inch by 12 inch piece of particle board. The bread you see is made of that wood, so the toaster is really an accessory to it. The toaster was still fully functional.

The piece ended up being voted Best of Show. Crazy.

That toaster is awesome, love the gritty look to it. I'd use it everyday, no matter how much radiation it puts out so long as the toast is done perfectly. And I never would have guessed that toast was particle board. O.o
